A national level two day UGC sponsored seminar was organized by the Department of History on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad: The Builder of Modern India on 22nd and 23rd December, 2011.

Other than these there have been examples of seminars/workshops held in the college level. The Departments of English and Sanskrit can claim credit for such initiatives. Below are listed the details of such activities.

  • Titled Macbeth: A Re-reading the Department of English held a Students’ Seminar on 07.03.08 that attracted enthusiastic response from the students.
  • The Department of English held another Students’ Seminar, this time on 1st February 2011 titled The Position of English in 21st Century India.
  • The Department of Sanskrit organized a college funded Departmental Seminar on Environmental thought in Sanskrit Literature on 11.03.2011 that was attended by eminent experts in that subject like Dr. Gopalchandra Misra, Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Rabindra Bharati University, Dr. Indira Chattopadhyay, Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Rabindra Bharati University and Dr. Annadasankar Pahari, Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Bhatter College.
