Department of Nutrition

About the Department

The Department of Nutrition of Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya was set up in 2012-13 as a Department to teach Nutrition as General subject and to provide a lateral support to the existing Science subjects of our Mission Mahavidyalaya. Later, in 2015-16, the Department was given the permission by the vidyasagar University to teach Nutrition Honours. The Department is run by two efficient and sincere Guest Professors. Since there is no full-time teacher in the Department, one of the permanent full-time teacher acts as the In-Charge of this Department. It has well equipped laboratory for conducting practical classes and students can avail departmental library also.
