Healthcare Facilities

The College provides healthcare facilities to the students and staff. Prof. Atal Behari Jana, Department of English and an avid medical enthusiast MD (Bio) oversees the facilities. Two doctors, Dr. Subrata Jana and Dr. Ramendra Sundar Ghosh, twice a week - Tuesdays and Fridays, attend the campus. Medicines are also provided free to the students as and when possible. The Mahavidyalaya is an institutional member of Students' Health Home situated at Matrimangal Sishu Kalyan Kendra, Chaitanyapur, a branch of the Central Students’ Health Home in Kolkata. Each student of the college is entitled to health assistance from this center for which he has to collect the Health-Home Card from the college office. A fee of Rs. 10/- per year is charged for this particular card. Medical Allowance is provided to both teaching and non-teaching staff. Moreover, the College staff can avail Medical Loan from Employees Co-operative Society.
