About the Department

The Department of Nutrition of Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya was set up in 2012-13 to teach Nutrition as General subject and to provide a lateral support to the existing science subjects. Later, in 2015-16, the Department was given the permission by the Vidyasagar University to teach Nutrition Honours. The department is run by four efficient and sincere faculty members. Since there is no full-time teacher in the department, one of the permanent full-time teachers acts as the ‘in-Charge’ of this department. It has well equipped laboratory for conducting practical classes and students can avail departmental library also.
