Department of Education

Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya started its journey in the education sector as a small college with a few selected departments in the year 1968. However, with the advent of time the college has established itself in the academic map of Purba Medinipur with various other disciplines realizing the need of including them in the academic curricula. The Education Department was set up in the year 2011-12 as a general subject.  Later, in the year 2012-13, the department was endowed with the responsibility of teaching Education as an Honours course. There are four State Aided College Teachers (SACT) in the department who carry out teaching as well as other departmental activities.
