About the Department
Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya started its auspicious journey in the year 1968. In the Arts stream, Bengali is one of the oldest departments offering Honours course. The three-year Honours course was started from 1998-1999 session and the general course was started from 2002-2003 session. From 2013-2014 session, the department started its post graduate curriculum once its demand was identified.
