Our Mahavidyalaya, Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya, takes an initiative to help needy people by providing books and clothes. In India, there is a large discrepancy between the haves and have nots even in the 21st century. We are trying to erase this boundary. We dream to make India a country where everyone can have the basic rights. Education helps to reach that goal. We have started our journey from our college on 4th December, 2019 by donating books and clothes to the needy. We have formed a book bank and a cloth bank to help the under privileged students of our college as well as the under privileged localites. For this purpose we have also sought the help of the donors. We are working as mediator to bridge donors and needy.

Cloth-Bank
“Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them”- Marc Jacobs
Cloth- Bank is another largest as well as latest project taken by our Mahavidyalaya. Through this we are trying to collect clothes or money to buy clothes and then distribute those clothes among the poor and under privileged. To live a life cloth is as necessary as food and shelter. Through this initiative, we are trying to provide winter wears also. This cloth-bank is not limited to the students only, rather it is open for all ages of people who need clothes. We have distributed cloth just before the Pandemic on 4.3.2020 and once after the Pandemic on 26.3.2022. we hope to arrange such programmes more often in near future. As we distribute cloth when we have sufficient donations, so we sincerely welcome the donors.
