Grievance RedressalIntroduction The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the members/officer in-charge of Students’ Grievance Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at the Principal’s Office. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of Students’ Grievance Cell. Objectives of Students' Grievance Cell The objective of the Grievance Cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute.
Procedure of Redressal of Students' Grievance The grievance procedure enables the students to express their feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the college. It involves a process of investigation in which 'Student's Grievance Cell' enquires and analyses the nature and pattern of the grievances in a strictly confidential manner. Matters are disclosed to only those, who have a legitimate role in resolving the matter. Emphasis on procedural fairness has been given with a view to "the right to be heard and right to be treated without bias". On receiving the complaint, the Principal intimates the matter to the committee for necessary action. Final report based on grievance received and resolved is submitted to the Principal and further course of action is decided and the same is intimated to the students. Exclusions SGC shall not entertain following issues. The Composition of the Grievance Cell is as follows: –
