NSS

National Service Scheme

Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya has an active NSS group which keeps itself busy with various activities all-round the year. It has four wings Unit I, Unit II, Unit III and Unit IV with 100 students in each unit.

These four units of NSS undertake many programmes, both internal and external (adopted villages), that include:

• College cleaning and beautification
• Anti-tobacco campaign in the college campus
• Blood donation camp
• Health awareness camps in nearby villages
• Special winter camp and many more

All the NSS units render valuable services in and around the college. The students are taught to be better and responsible citizens of the nation.

Achievements 

2021-2022

• Mr. Pranab Kumar Jana, PO was selected as a male contingent leader for West Bengal State Republic Day Parade Camp.
• Mr. Pranab Kumar Jana was selected District Nodal Officer of Purba Medinipur.
• Two NSS Volunteers from unit IV Mr. Pappu Bag and Ms. Mouli Kalsa were selected for Pre RD-Camp held at CIT, Kokrajorh, Assam from 28^th October, 2021 till 3^rd November, 2021.
• One NSS volunteer Ms. Chhandashree Guria was selected for National Integration Camp from 15^th December to 21^st December, 2021 held at SOA University, Bhubaneswar.
• Mr. Pappu Bag from unit IV was selected for RD Parade Camp at New Delhi January, 2022.
• Our college received SAVE RIVER CAPAIGN AWARD from SAAIRD for River Cleaning Programme by NSS Unit
• Nine of our NSS volunteers received prizes for various competition organized by District Health Dept. Purba Medinipur under the scheme New India@75 phase II.
• Mr. Pranab Kumar Jana, PO along with two NSS volunteers participated in state level NSS youth camp at Surja Sen Mahavidyalaya, Siliguri.

2020-2021

• Mr. Pranab Kumar Jana was selected District Nodal Officer of Purba Medinipur.
• Mr. Pranab Kumar Jana selected as Contingent leader of West Bengal for National Integration Camp held at M. J. P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, UP from 10^th 16^th March, 2021.
• Four volunteers from unit IV were selected for the NI Camp held at M. J. P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, UP from 10^th 16^th March, 2021.
• Mr. Niladri Betal, NSS volunteer was selected for Pre Republic-Day Parade Camp at SOA University, Bhubaneswar from 22^nd November,2020 to 1^st December,2020.
• Ms. Shrabanti Maity, NSS volunteer received Brikkha Sanjiboni Samman from NGO.

Above all, it is forbidden to stay in the hostel following the rules and regulations of the hostel.
